Born in West Oakland, CA. Recording artist Amirh has been working alongside R&B/Hip-Hop rappers and producers since age 13. She is the daughter of a single-mother and the eldest sister of four girls. In 2009 Amirh left home to earn a B.A. in Political Science. 7 years after stepping into her first recording booth Amirh continues to evolve, singing with sincerity and writing as if her life depended on it. Her sound has been described as 'Folk-soul fusion' but after living in New York, Belize, and New Zealand, Amirh must too be considered world music.
